What do you expect from an insecure backward country who lies about the nature of its completely transparent actions internationally and domestically? They'll never find any fault in their actions, I am actually surprised they didn't blame the United States for Frimpongs upsetness.

That's the thing though. It's not just the fans that are racist. The Russian authorities do nothing about it. Even going as far as to basically defend it. These are supposed to be educated people. Their attitude is sickening.

It reminds me of a couple of posters on here who were defending Sergey Kovalev's blatant racist tweet about Adonis Stevenson. Unsurprisingly it seems one was Russian.

I didn't mean that Russia doesn't have a larger problem, just that it's ironic that the "fans" comparing black players to animals are the real animals. I agree with everything you've said about the bigger picture.

Way too sensitive? Europeans would see it as being insensitive to react with rage towards racism, baring in mind that they started slavery of black people in the first place. So I guess it makes sense that they would be slower in realizing how much of a big deal it is.

Racism isn't nearly as big a problem in other parts of Europe as it is in Russia.

The Dutch were one of the most infamous slave traders of Europe yet today they get along very well with people of other colors and they have a holiday where a Santa-like dressed up old man is escorted by white people in black face, curly hair and red lipstick who give loving children candy.

Despite their history, they are not uptight crybabies like Americans and that includes the ethnics. They have extremely low crime rates and it's one of the best countries in the world to live in.

Sweden is like the opposite, they might be even worse than the US in ways. So I guess I should not put the entire West in the same basket.

Like I said Russia may have some problems for such a technologically advanced country but to act like the US is some kind of exemplary country for this issue and that the Russians "should be more like us" is laughable.
