say whatever to get a fight. Rigo wil get embarrassed. Get a bout 15 more fights under his belt. Great amateur..stayed busy. It ended there! Hes still green in the level of different opposition.

People misunderstand just because he was an "amateur". A lot of the amateurs in Cuba are world champ level in pro, which is clearly evidenced. It's often said Cuban athletes are professionals in amateur clothing...because...you know..they CANT go pro in their country and have to wait for the right time to defect, which isn't as easy as most people would think. It's like saying Nonito wasn't given the chance to go pro, and comes (with his current skill level mind you) into the pros this good, at his first fight. There's a reason Gamboa and him have had so much success so early in their "pro" careers.

It's not a matter of amateur or pro when it's in relation to Cuban fighters since they are kind of a special case...it's about having a name and making a good business decision. Rigo really only needs a few more fights at a high level and he's ready to make a good case against Nonito. Rigo is in the right place and right time right now because as a title holder, Nonito will eventually have to fight him if he really wants to be the man at 122..and be given credibility if he decides to move up. If Nonito makes about 4 or 5 fights at this class, and DOESN'T fight Rigo, that's what most people call ducking...JCC JR status.

Have you seen any of rigondeaux's amateur fights well? Or any other pro fights? His right hook is ridiculous. Who else here knows that Rigondeaux is right handed? Is that not common knowledge? The thing with Rigondeaux is that he fights down to your level and occasionally when he cares he'll open up. If anyone has followed his career in the amateurs as well as pros can tell he fights down to your level but just controls you and when he decides to open up. It's impressive. So if a better fighter comes along, please believe Rigondeaux will open up more and show more of what he really has to offer.

PUNCHED HIM IN BACK OF HIS HEAD

Ref should DQed his A SS or let Ramos take a longer break. The body shot was a free shot after been hit in back of the head
That's how they teach amateurs in Cuba? Gamboa does the exact same ish.

really?...it took rigo like 7 shots to the same spot to put ramos out...you never seen cotto , izzy, hatton etc stop a fighter with one body shot?...even pac has stopped a fighter with one body shot..lol...

if nonito moves up while rigo is still the champion at 122, then you could then say it's a duck....but then again if he fights better fighters like gamboa , you can then again throw that **** out of the window....

Rigo will be too strong for Donaire. Not hard to tell. Especially if he sits on his punches.
