This really isn't that difficult to figure out. 25% of anything realistic is not a big payday for Jacobs. If he was fine with not having a big payday, this fight would be signed. He wants a significant payday, thus the negotiations and wanting to avoid a purse bid. Everything Jacobs has ever said about Golovkin indicates that. He needs more than "two Peter Quillins" but "less than $10 million", etc. etc. etc.

Regardless of why they claim to have ducked GGG, it is clear that the fear of his power came into effect. He has knocked out 91.7 percent of his opponents and hasn’t reached the final bell since 2008, making him the fighter with the highest knockout percentage in all of boxing.

Given his stunning knockout ability, as well as his hunt to add everyone in the division to his hit-list, it is clear to see why Gennady Golovkin is the most feared man in boxing.

              K2 fumbling the ball again.

Seems they tried to play hard ball and lost their leverage in doing so.

Oh well just get the fight signed

Loeffler can't get a big fight signed. That's why GGG resume is so terrible. Loeffler is good at marketing. He's made GGG a hardcore name by can crushing. These are the two best fighters in the division & would become the best name on GGG resume. Take a loss and makes the fight happen ffs

$5-$10 mil a year is good money for crushing cans. Canelo is offering him a $10 mil. GGG has to fight 3-4 times a year to make what he can make in one fight against Canelo

Jacobs didn't like the money that he was being offered by K2 to go to HBO, Jacobs went to the WBA to try and change that weeks ago, the change didn't happen, and there's been radio silence since.

K2 may look for a bit more time, but the seeming facts aren't going to change; HBO's current package to K2, after paying Golovkin his money, isn't enough to avoid an open bid, and the open bid puts K2 in a bind.
Its a private contract, nothing has to be or is going to be public like you think. Im also pretty sure bids are private, its not ebay. Plus just about anybody can bid on the fight
