Froch is the clear number 1 obviously - Kessler, abraham, Bute, Ward, Dirrell, Johnson etc etc

cotto and mosley have already been mentioned so I'll fire in Chisora since he hasn't been mentioned yet

chisora - fury, helenius, vitali, Haye etc easily the toughest run for a heavy right now not that he's got too many wins out of em lol
      Chisora is a great shout.

All in under 20 fights aswell.

        Froch
        Cotto
        Hopkins

They have all faced top opposition in the last 4-5 years.

I think Darchinyan quite easily now to be honest. More than both Froch and Mares. Fought the same guys as Mares, plus all the other top guys too.

            Mares
            Arce
            Donaire
            Agbeko
            Perez
            Mijares
            Moreno
            Yamanaka
            Pacheco
            Kirilov

Even lesser guys, like Rodrigo Guerrero and Tomas Rojas, became world champions right after he beat them.

That is a long list of current world champions, former, current and future superstars and P4P fighters. It doesn't get better than that.

Paul Williams would've been well in the mix in this thread had he got to the Canelo fight.

You can't have Mosley and Cotto without Pacquiao.

                  Come on man be fair:

Miachael Jennings - This was a comeback fight after Margarito nearly ended his career and despite Jennings quality Cotto still had to pull it out of the bag.

Yuri Foreman - Cottos first fight at 154 and again a come back fight after Pacquiao had demolished him.

                  Ricardo Mayorga - Always dangerous.

Antonio Margarito II - Dispite marg fading - it took balls to face his nightmare and beat him

Yeah I didn't really think of that but it's true. That is a tough list of opponents especially for a guy in his 40's
