If GBP pulls this off this off, this will give their rep a major boost. This would be one hell of a matchup between two great warriors.The fight would have to take place at a catch weight tho. I would pick Mares to win because he is the fighter with more skills but it would be a close fight because Leo always comes to fight.

I would have to go with Abner on this one, but to be honest I'm not sure I see it happening! I mean it's pretty obvious that Mares doesn't want to move down in weight, he seems intent on gunning it out at 130 and Leo hasn't yet fought a true 122 pounder yet, I don't think he's stupid enough to move up to 126 so soon!
I'd much rather see Santa Cruz fight Rigondeaux or Frampton first!
