  • The Klitschkos totally changed Boxing because....

.....before the Klitschko era, everybody was always looking for a "Great White Hope" in Heavyweight Boxing. Most famous "Great White Hopes" were Jerry Quarry, Gerry Cooney and Tommy "The Duke" Morrison.
But since the Klitschkos dominated for a decade, the term "Great White Hope" doesn't exist anymore. Now everybody is looking for a "Great Black Hope"....

Just need a heavyweight champ that knocks out contenders and ends title fights before the 7th round everytime. You get that and boom you got about half less complaints.

What really bothers me is that Wladimir could be ripping most of his opponents apart similarly to the way Tyson did and just doesn't.

Pretty much, instead you've got jab, lean on opponent, jab, lean, jab, right hand, lean, lean, jab, lean, jab, jab, finally KO in like the 9th, rinse and repeat against guys that are total scrubs.

Exactly but I mean another thing is no talent, Tony Thompson has fought for the title twice now. He started boxing at 27 years-old.....Name me a professional NBA or NFL player that started the sport at 27. It's just ridiculous and then you have Seth Mitchell he started at 26 or whatever, Kevin Johnson started at 24, and these guys are good for the little experience they have but they aren't multi-dimensional fighters who can become something great.

nobody is looking for a "hope" of any color
it's not about where the fighters come from or their race
they just want better fights or a swifter champion
as mentioned, Wlad gets KO's, but not really vicious looking ones
he beat Byrd to death in the rematch, smoked Austin quickly
if he had more KO's like that, he'd get more props
no beef with his systematic beatdowns personally
but most people just don't like it
don't think anyone cares about black, white, American, etc
it's either better fights or just better KO's from the dominant champ

Nobody is looking for a great black hope. Fans just want to see Wlad and Vitali in the ring with the threat of the Purritys, Brewsters, Lewis's, Williamsons, Sanders and Byrds of the world!

Both brothers have been tkod by black fighters...

The Klitschkos changed boxing because now if you get your face punched off in half of a fight but are ahead on the cards, it means you really won.

Lol, people were behind Cris Arreola and he's Mexican... Nobody is looking for a Great Black Hope, they're looking for a FUN HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION to watch... Which we don't have now
