Even though Pavlik isn't as effective at 168 and hasn't looked as sharp he still has more than enough to beat the **** out of Rodriguez or Chavez.

Not sure why people are saying pavlik is washed up or shot? Dude just hasn't been motivated, and had to get out of that everyone is in your bizness small town ! He has not been ko'd before just outclassed, i think with this new team around him he will deliver... the only fighter i would keep him away from would be andre ward, Froch / bute / rodriguez / kessler / chavez jr / I think he beats and KO's most - underated boxing skills, very good chin, and conditioning - its just that when he gets in there to fight guys, they feel his power and go into survival mode - hard to beat up on guys like that ..

You're missing a lot of something here. Pavlik has fought and beaten a whose who of Boxing and Rodriguez is as green to Pavlik as Escalara was to Rodriguez and Dell Valle was to Darchinyan.

I'm not impressed at all with Rodriguez, even in fights he is in total control of I always get the sense with how he every now and then in rounds gets tagged with flush shots he shouldn't that something could happen at any time and he could be on the end of a bad ko loss.

I got Pavlik stopping him if this fight takes places.

Referee Steve Smoger mercifully prevented Escalera from taking more punishment when he jumped it to stop the bout 12 seconds into the eighth round of a scheduled 10-round super middleweight match that was televised as the main event of an “Boxing After Dark” tripleheader.

Pavlik crushes this kid, Escalara was game but is not even close to the level of Kelly Pavlik. They better keep developing Rodriguez and keep him away from the big dogs for a while.

Most would agree that Kelly is more than just power. Technically he is more sound and more versatile overall. Lest we forget that his most recent defeats were to a P4P canidate and Hall of Famer. George then Escalera then Kelly...Credit due for wanting to step it up nonetheless.
