jeff lacy would have been a hall of famer and better than tyson but calzaghe beat him so badly that he wasn't able to reach his full tyson potential so that counts.

And for the record I thought Bernard beat Calzaghe, he dropped him early he just wasn't active enough. All Calzaghe did was land a bunch of pitty pat bs the whole night, then he retires lol cause he's trying to protect his record and avoid a rematch with Bernard.

In all honesty, if he wins against Kovalev, it won't elevate him particularly. Just as much as a KO loss in the first round wouldn't degrade hopkins status.

Kovalev is not at all great enough to affect a fighter like Hopkins' greatness.
