Is Canelo just like a total as5h0le when he's home in Mexico??? I don't even see how PR Cotto fans are saying he won, much less the Mexican media.

That's your opinion so agree to disagree.

To you Cotto's punches were not as effective as to Canelo's. So as to Landed punches 10 out of 1 without none being hurt you give it to Canelo??

Sir you are the perfect match to be a boxing judge for Vegas or Texas.

You score punches on how effective they are. Cottos punches were not nearly as effective as Canelos. Canelo also landed more. So how was it even remotely close?

Same here pretty much. The volume was pretty low. The reality is cotto just threw jabs and slapping power punches. He also lunged in with the right Hand and looked very amateurish doing it. He didn't have one moment in the fight where he controlled it or even landed a punch of consequence. People on this site have no clue how to score a fan and are not even boxing fans.

            Mexican commentators below:

"Canelo is just too heavy to be effective"

"Cotto is a monster in the ring he doing what he has to do to win..."

"I want to cry because Cotto is using his plan effectively and Canelo can't seem to adjust"

"This is not the Canelo we wanted to see..."

            "Canelo needs a KO"

"Canelo is too heavy and sometimes you can't react as you want to" ~Chavez Sr

"I feel as thought Cotto was ROBBED..."

Wow.. they only gave Canelo TWO rounds in the entire fight.

Watched this fight WITHOUT the GoldenBoy cheersquad at HBO and it was a MUCH closer fight than the teens on NSB want to admit.

There were a few times in which Cotto made Canelo miss 4-5 punches in a row. Caught a lot on his gloves...

              I just rematched it sober.

Clear as day cotto won round 1,4,5, 10 and 11.

Clear as day Canelo won round 7, 8 and 9

Rounds 2,3,6, and 12 were close.
I lean towards Canelo for round 12 and likely 6. I lean toward cotto for 2 and 3 as it wasn obvious cotto was dominating the first half.

Thus I guess my score would be 7-5 for cotto. But can easily be a draw. Or even 7-5 Canelo. The score cards were faked.
That's as honest as I can get. Canelo in no conceivable way dominated cotto.

Same happened to me the first time I saw it, HBO commentating was very misleading. I saw the Mexican version and then again the fight in Mute.

Veeeeery different than the first time without alcohol in my system plus my brother making jokes during the whole fight..... but I did had fun Though .

Right, and many of his jabs failed to connect. I was surprised since Cotto has a very effective jab, however Canelo was able to easily make him miss simply by moving his upper body or taking a step back. I swear, Canelo was looking slick in there at times .

Oh well, this fight goes to show how a major fight going to the cards will always have some type of controversy.

I had Cotto winning 7-5 but I did not feel rounds 3 or 12 were close, Canelo won both of those.

Yeah because boxing seems to have a lot of fans who have an agenda and are insecure individuals. They can't be honest about what has happened because they think it shows weakness even though they didn't even fight. This fight really proves how ******ed people on here are. This was such an easy fight to score and it was clear who controlled the fight. Canelo landed more punches and they were more effective. That uppercut landed all night. I swear people are giving cotto rounds because he moved around the ring more and demonstrated great footwork lol.
