  • How big of a blow to Shotime if GBP moved to HBO?

GBP was only banned there because of their dealings with Haymon and now that GBP and Oscar have cleansed themselves of him, it looks like they're going back to HBO and if Canelo/Cotto happened, it'd be on HBO.

Also, they already took a big blow with Hopkins moving over. Remember when Showtime said they're ready to really start investing in the LHW division?

Building up Hopkins, Signging Stevenson for a potential fight and signing....Shumenov...lol.

Now after throwing all their money into the division, they lost the main lynchpin to HBO and now they might lose their budding star.

If Canelo and the rest of HBO does move there, how big of a blow to Showtime is this? They're starting to get alienated.... starting with the Alien

That'd be a great move. A nice big well deserved slap to the face of Stephen Espinoza.

Can't wait for Espinoza's spin on this... gotta find the article where he was talking about investing into the LHW division when he had all three... now he has one, lol

All I know is, when you have a clown like Espinoza running your network.... You're bound for failure.

Dude is an absolute embarrassment to the sport and anybody who pays a subscription for Showtime with this guy running things is getting shafted big time

Just wish everyone would work together. I like showtime's presentation and commentators way more, so in a way it would blow.

SHO is probably more concerned with keeping Haymons stable. When his fighters GBP contracts expire (and some already are not under contract) SHO will be the one to take them with open arms.

I believe that is the reason that we are seeing so many egregious mismatches, they cannot afford to get in Haymons bad graces, especially if Oscar is working with HBO again. They are willing to just take whatever garbage he gives them.

Wouldn't be much of a blow if Haymon would actually put his top guys in together. Instead we get them all fighting on the same card against no names.. So Fk him, and fk Showtime for letting him strong arm them into putting these fights on.

Hey... he signed that lucurative deal with... EC boxing.... or something, haha.

He's more known.. that's why Hopkins is now fighting Kovalev now

haymon is only as good if he still has a working relationship with gbp and oscar. if top rank/hbo/ and the rest of the promoters decide to freeze out haymon and his stable, he will lose a lot of his fighters with the quickness.

                  haymon is scum.
