Why did god take 6 days to create everything?

"Days" are just used to signify periods of time
First there was light, then the land masses formed, then water came to this planet, then the plant matter, then the animals of the land/sea/air, then man. Modern Science has proven this is chronologically accurate. Back then, nobody would have had any way of proving it.
The sun and the earth are even described as "spherical" back in a time when the whole world thought the earth was flat.
All the athiests born when the bible was written would have thought the earth was flat too. But because we have google and modern science books, athiests born today think they're smarter when there's no difference.Last edited by DARKSEID; 09-03-2012, 06:56 AM.

Many billions of days later a man created god.
Then he tried to make others believe in a god, but the others had already developed a belief in their own deity. That deity was believed to be a goddess in some places.
The ones who created their god didn't like that others didn't care for the man-made god.
So those who created god took matters into their own hands and decided that forcing the others to believe in their man created god was approved by "god" and the killing fest began while the man-created god sat back and did absolutely nothing to stop the slaughter and massacre.

If there was no evidence for a spherical earth, then people wouldn't believe it. As soon as concrete evidence is put forward then people believe it.
In fact it's religion that are better at dismissing obvious evidence, the Galileo trial is a good example.
