One thing is certain. HBO would be fine.

Networks either break even or take loses from PPVs. In Pacquiao's case, they most likely just break even. In Mayweather's case Showtime loses money. HBO makes no qualms in saying they don't like PPVs.

No network would make a profit with a guy that asks for a $40 million guarantee like Money Mayweather. Showtime has to support him with strong undercards, and that would cost extra millions. Then the gargantuan amounts of money they have to spend on promotions.

No wonder Showtime is slowing down. Many of their fighters are on a long layoff. The high profile ones now fight once a year. Guerrero, Berto, Matthysse, Khan... The GBP rift is starting to get exposed because of financial loses. Only the Greedy Team profits. As a HBO executive suspected, Showtime spent all their money on Mayweather.

Probably 100K, or less, if that would make the floydspastics happy. hehe... Can't really blame floydspastics considering the looming confirmation of their hero becoming the biggest duck in the world when he retires. They can certainly take comfort in saying their hero is a PPV queen. hehe...

It's been obvious that TR is not trying very hard to achieve the one million mark in PPV, ie, usual lackluster undercards, under-promoted, etc. In contrast, GBP/Showtime are putting all their resources in one huge unprofitable basket.

PLAIN AND SIMPLE. SHOW THE NUMBERS THAT SAY WHAT EITHER OF THE NETWORKS MAKE.............DO YOU THINK THEY WOULD PAY MAYWEATHER THAT KIND OF MONEY IF THEY DIDNT MAKE ENOUGH FOR THEMSELVES. Your statement is just hatred for Mayweather because you have no idea what they make off of his fights I guess they didnt make money off of 2.2 mil or him avg over 1 mil sold on his fights. Matthysse (who fought twice atleast last year)got his face fractured (thats why he's layed off, Kahn bet everything on a mayweather fight and if he wins he will be fight twice this year alone, canelo has fought three times within the last year now berto is high profile? guerro turned down fights for his layoff ) berto retired to heal up and he had been very active before that, Now "GBP is getting exposed because of financial losses? GET YOUR INFO RIGHT, DONT MAKE UP **** CAUSE YOU HAVE HATRED FOR 1 FIGHTER. SO HOW MUCH DID HBO MAKE LAST YEAR, AND HOW MUCH DID SHOWTIME MAKE SINCE YOU KNOW WHAT EVERYONE IS GETTING PAID? WHERE ARE YOUR NUMBERS?

                      500k.
That's a very solid number but by Manny standards it's a flop.
Tough to sell a fight with only two dude's on the card being known and one of those guys (Bradley) having a "questionable" fanbase.
