RIP to Jim Morrison. One of THE greatest singers ever. Another great who died at 27. Too bad the Oliver Stone movie put too much emphasis on the drugs, alcohol, and him being a faded buffoon for the majority of the movie. He was a great writer and and thinker, but the movie didn't do much very much justice.

Morrison was way ahead of his time. He wasn't the mellow, stereotypical hippie frontman back then. Sure, everyone was doing drugs, especially acid, but Morrison not only had a mean streak, but a dark side as well. No one really expressed that side very much until the 90s.

I own all the Doors' albums on cd.
