There are many sites offering evidence to suggest so. It looks very convincing, but then so can evidence to suggest he was innocent.

Only a few people will ever know the real truth.

Sorry. No it can't. The evidence points to the fact he's a murderer.

He was'nt released because he turned out to be innocent. Nobody pretends he did'nt do it.

Knocked out Emile Griffith in one round. The man could punch.

Would you mind sending me a link to one of these sites that talks about it? I'vee seen a few of his fights and the movie, but would be interested in finding out more about him and the circumstaces of the murders. If you can do it, thanks.

No they made that up too. Joey Giaradello (RIP) sued them for false characterization.

In the movie the canadians find some piece of "evidence" that makes it a hate crime or whatever by racist cops. No such evidence ever existed in real life.

Carter's time as a contender had already past when he had gone to prison. He was losing about half of his fights by then.

If you watch the movie "The Cinderella Man", you'd think the last round of the Braddock-Baer fight was a thriller and Braddock barely survived it. If you ever see that on ESPN Classic, you'll see that it was really an uneventful round and by that point Baer was just mailing it in.
