froch. much better resume. wasn't scared of flying. biggest win wasn't a gift. no history of laughable early stoppages.

Throw in the fact he fought more than a small handful of ranked opposition.

Still gotta give it to Calzaghe, until further notice. Overall, Froch has had the better resume, but Joe squeezed those two HOFers (RJJ and Hopkins) in right at the end of his career.

RJJ will always be great, and Hopkins is the oldest champ in the sport (and still trucking), so Froch still has a bit of heavy lifting to do, in that aspect.

really roy jones will always be great? so danny green is better than froch? and hopkins clearly beat calzaghe. can't give the fight to a guy that gets outlanded no matter how much he misses(a bad thing)

Trust me, Im speaking on the RJJ of the pre-Tarver days. And yes, I had Hopkins beating Joe by 1 point, but Joe was still the winner in the books...but hey, what can we do about it?

              Froch

Calzaghe is a product of ducking and slapping

This is bulls-hit. Beating a Roy's corpse does nothing for Calzaghe's resume. Do you also consider Roberto Duran a great win for William Joppy?

Nope. Was RJJ as past it, as Duran was for the Joppy fight? Im not saying that Joe is an all-time great, but he's highly regarded, compared to Froch.

Froch's resume still has a lot of time left on it, before he can be considered great. Fighters get noticed for fighting great fighters (with names) with one foot out of the door, Froch hasn't done that yet.

Do I like Joe? Hell no. Is he more recognized than Froch right now? Yes

and how often are the books wrong? not give him credit for a fight that he clearly lost.
