  • Suicide by Jumping in front of Bus

A beautiful Staten Island teenager threw herself in front of a city bus after a group of mean girls at her high school tormented her for months and an older boy broke her heart, her family said.

Amanda Diane Cummings, 15, of Dongan Hills, was carrying a suicide note in her pocket when she was mortally injured by the bus two days after Christmas.

“I can’t live without [him]. There’s no life at all,” the lovesick sop****re wrote in the note, according to relatives.

“No matter what she did, they picked on her,” her cousin Ashley Gilman, 20, told the News.

“They made fun of her heels, her hair, her make-up - everything.”

Gilman said Amanda recently confided she was dating a 19-year-old boy whom the ringleader of the bullies also had a crush on. The romantic rivalry escalated tensions between the two, Gilman said.

The week before Christmas, Amanda’s bully threatened her, but the young girl did not want to report the incident for fear of being bullied even more, relatives said.

“She texted her mother, ‘I’m on the way home,’ but half an hour later she never showed up,” Henderson added.

In the early hours of Dec. 28, the teenager’s mother received a call that her critically injured daughter was at Staten Island University Hospital.

Yet even as the girl fought for her young life, the online taunts continued:

“LMFAO she jumped in front of a bus,” Cummings said someone wrote on her Facebook wall.

“Once a ho, always a ho,” another kid wrote, according to Cummings.

The posts no longer appear on Amanda’s Facebook page, which is now flooded with heartfelt comments from friends.

Cummings said his niece had told family she wanted to k!ll herself a couple of years ago, but there was no warning this this time.

“There was nothing, there was no sign," he said. “They tormented her ... There has to be justice.”

Killing yourself over someone is the most pathetic thing to do, imo.

    Get over it.

Being bullied is one thing, but killing yourself over someone.

    Comon now.

That is so tragic. I feel so sad for these kids who go through this stuff. They can't see passed all the ****. And those little vile ****s will get theirs when karma catches up to them.

Someone's been watching too much Twilight Kids think that 15 is the end of the world for them. Also at least jump in front of a train, a bus won't kill you outright.

            Tragic Story!!!!

I don't know what's happening to this generation of teens. You mean to tell me that teasing, and bullying just started to be an issue within the last 7-10 years?
            NO!!!
Bullying and teasing has been going on forever!!!

But for some reason or another, teens today are unable to tolerate even in small doses, rejection and peer abuse. Sure, every incident that results in the death of a teen is tragic, but is it really the act of teasing\bully or the inability of teens today, to adjust\adapt and overcome adverse conditions.

Look at freakin utube, where numerous teens and some adults are pouring out their emotions in one form or another, trying to get some attention.

This teen generation is one big emotional powderkeg just waiting for the right circumstances to make them explode or self-terminate.

Because we live in an over sensitive/ hyper-politically correct society. You can't discipline your children without people calling it abuse. And parents nowadays have their heads rammed so far up their own arse. They make excuses for everything their children do.

'Nooooo, he didn't break into that store, the brick he was holding in his hand slipped through the window, so he went inside to make sure all was well, then our Little Jimmy decided to just take the damaged merchandise out to the trash, to save the owner the trouble, that's why you caught him carrying out that PS3 officer, he's an angel '

Over sensitivity mixed with no accountability and lack of discipline, equals a massive ****ing mess of a society. It's a shame.
