  • Welterweight division is easily the most skilled division in MMA

I think this division as a whole doesn't get a lot of respect because of GSP's dominance over it, but the WW division is stacked with fighters that have loads of ground and standup skills. There are so many fighters in this division who's legacies are being stunted due to GSP's dominance. Fighters like: Koscheck, Alves, Hardy, Fitch, Thiago, Kampmann, Condit, Hathaway....

Plus Hughes. Hughes was lucky that he got to reign over this division before GSP came along cuz nobody would know who he is had his career chronologically paralleled with GSP. But he is still fighting and he is still a very good fighter in this division.

And with the potential future signings of Shields and Diaz, this division will by far and away be the most loaded in MMA history. And still GSP would dominate over all of them. This just goes to prove how dominant a fighter GSP really is and that him moving up to 185 isn't really the better choice ATM. He has plenty to deal with at welterweight.

Let's not forgot the young gun Macdonald. That dude really impressed me last night. He was winning that fight up until the last 2 mins of the last round. The kid is only 20 years old and he looks really polished, and very calm and collected in the octagon. I think in 3-5 years he'll be one of the best in the world at 170.

Guys like Ricardo Almeida, Dong Yung Kim, John Howard, Jake Ellenberger, Anthony Johnson, all guys who can make noise in the future. Matt Hughes and Matt Serra can beat some contenders imo

Yup, because none of them can win **** unless they wrestle. So, I reinforce my statement.... the wrestling division.

Dong Hyun Kim does like to go to the ground. fyi

So does Damien Maia, that doesn't make him a wrestler.

Plus DHK is a Judo practitioner.

                    Obvious troll is obvious.

Apparently to Flicker, GSP makes up the entire division.
