    While it may be his norm I don't think its good or has served him well as you put it. Yo-yoing in weight so drastically is not good. Look at the boxers who are considered gym rats and stay closest to fighting weight between fights.......Mosley, Hopkins and PBF. I can virtually guarantee that if they had done what Hatton does they would've been forced to retire years ago.

            Ok, to say it's served him well was maybe the wrong choice of phrase - but it hasn't hindered his career to date was more the point I was making. I agree with what you say about Mosley, Hopkins, PBF... they're doing their thing and that's what works for them. Hatton's a whole different ball game, what he needs is to be able to switch off between fights and be a normal person for a while - then, when it's time to go to work again, he'll be remotivated and he'll knuckle down and train as hard as anyone out there.

            Different strokes for different folks and all that...
