If you can jump with athletic ease and can torque your hips mid air , why not do a flying punch?
It will get you an angle through their guard that they will find hard to defend and it will catch them off guard!
Not something to do often do often but a good start to a combo that will hopefully take them out.
Look at kickboxing, flying kicks knees and punches are all used and all work.
Now the way kickboxers do flying punches totally sucks theres no real power developed they donkey kick their opposite leg back mid air to send their fist forward, well I find torqueing mid air to be more powerful and with a jump and using that momentum you can make up for some loss of power from not being grounded, it hits harder than the kickboxing way that's for sure.
So down sides are its energy sapping and you could be adding force to their punch coming back at you, also if you arnt fast enough its an easy technique to counter
Up side it hits with reasonable power, its unexpected so they probably wont know how to react in the moment, your head goes high so its harder to hit, you get an unusual angle.
Just throwing an idea out there.
