if it were any other franchise then yea, it would be funny...but with the track record of the Lakers getting star players would make anyone hesitate at laughing at the lunacy

That's what I find funny. The team wins back to back titles, has one bad series against a red-hot champion team and everyone is screaming for them to blow the team up.

Obviously if you can get a trade done for Howard you need to look at it given how good he is, but there is no need to set out to blow up the team I wouldn't have thought.

I'm with Tua on this one, I don't think the Lakers should completely panic and retool just because of this season. Besides getting a better PG and maybe another good scorer off the bench, I think the Lakers are still stacked. Fish needs to be replaced though IMO. Maybe try to go after Felton or Lawson or one of the million or so PG's in Minnesota. Maybe the Knicks would get rid of Billups?

i honestly think that it would have to be Drew and LO to Orlando...if we can peddle Blake, even better...then go after Felton for the 1 spot...that team is Ty Lawson's and Felton knows it

lakers got wilt chamberlain for darrall imhoff , jerry chambers and archie clark.

lakers got kareem abdul jabbar for elmore smith and brian winters.

lakers got kobe bryant for vlade divac.

lakers got pau gasol for kwame brown and javarris crittenton.


for other teams it's hard to get trades done.

not for the lakers with their history , a big city with nice weather and most importantly all that MONEY to offer.
