i decided to make a new character, Dark Elf, assassin/thief/mage.

accidentely deleted my old character that was level 55....

Used to do that so many times in Oblivion
The save feature still sucks they should do it like the Mass Effect save system. You click the name of the character and all the saves for that character only shows up. Instead of the cluster**** of saves that's Elder Scrolls..

wanted to make a new character anyways...the first run through is usually a test run.

now im gonna be a badass who kills everyone and steals everything and shocks everything into dust.

my old character just got too over powerful even on higher difficulty... plus never really did a mage character...see how this goes

I did that too and i was level 49. 100+ hours of my life gone in an instant.
