This thread asks albout legalizing all drugs. Lumping them all together. Thats the way the government looks at them and most of us know they are not the same and some are not as dangerous as others. Putting hard drugs on the street would be bad but all the money spent on policing the softer or less harmfull drugs is wasted funds. And the government spends a fortune policing marijuana with the same detemination they do herion.

There's a difference between legalisation and decriminalization. Portugal has the right idea imo:

edit - here's the last paragraph of the article if u cant be bothered to read it all:
"The data show that, judged by virtually every metric, the Portuguese decriminalization framework has been a resounding success. Within this success lie self-evident lessons that should guide drug policy debates around the world."Last edited by gingeralbino; 05-23-2011, 02:31 AM.

Not to mention all the ***** out there now as "substitutes" that are killing people like the bath salt and the K-2. Both are 10x worse then weed but you can buy easily down the street. Nothing but chemicals that will stop your heart.

They are all too scared of public opinion going against them to take on board what needs to be done.
