and if cotto is past prime then what was the 35 year old floyd?

you act like floyds best weight is 147..the man started at 130..hatton began at 140 and so did judah.....

shane was the #1 ww and p4p#3 and people claimed floyd feared him=great win

oscar was a top 5 154 fighter and a champion their and had a huge size advantage
pacquiao was the #1 welterweight and p4p #1 and people claimed floyd feared him = great duck.

So a 35 yr old Floyd isn't past his prime but a 32 yr old Cotto is that quite interesting also. If those De La Hoya, Shane and Marquez aren't good wins for Floyd they can't b good wins for other fighters remember that.
your right and then your wrong....

      Zab is a good win

both Cotto and Floyd were a little past it... still a great win...

now mosley is a little tricky.... great win for cotto.. floyd fought him over 3 years later.. still a DECENT win.... but not a good win for pacquiao or canelo

Any good Prime fighter can beat 10 All time greats who are past their prime or smaller in size. Hell can you imagine How people would view Ray Leonard, Roberto Duran and Tommy Hearns if they avoided each other and Cherry pick name has beens or pick on little guys who challenged them ?

                Here are those 10 fighters:
                Diego Corrales
                Jose Luis Castillo
Arturo Gatti (he will be inducted this year)
                Zab Judah
                Oscar De La Hoya
                Ricky Hatton
                Juan Manuel Marquez
                Shane Mosley
                Miguel Cotto
                Genaro Hernandez

                let me just say that:
                - 6 of them are borderline Hall of Famers which in my opinion will ALL end up in the Hall of Fame even though some people say they don't deserve it. ( Hatton, Genaro Hernandez, Diego Corrales, Jose Luis Castillo, Arturo Gatti, Zab Judah)
                - 2 were way past their prime ( Shane Mosley, and some people might say also De La Hoya)
                - 1 was way out of his weight class at the time of the fight ( Juan Manuel Marquez)
                - The 10th guy is Miguel Cotto, who gave Floyd hell in my opinion and some people say Cotto was also way past his prime.

Vote on the poll and explain which of these 10 opponents of Mayweather should be in the Hall of Fame (some day).

Mosley, Cotto, Hall of famers? Everytime Cotto stepped up he lost, same goes for Mosley, he only beat Oscar! Floyd beat Juan who KO'd Pac, Genero Hernandeez, Diego, and Oscar! The rest of them, Im not too sure, oh and Gatti!
                Ignorance...

you **** on cotto and mosley, but not gatti...
Cotto and Mosley are for sure first ballot HOFers

Cotto faced 18 former or current world champs... beat the likes of ... Mosley, Judah, Margarito, Quintana, Clottey, and many other very good fighters... Cottos resume is top notch from top to bottom... (not even mentioning his brilliant record at 140lbs)... he is a 4 time world champ in 3 divisions...

Mosley beat DLH twice, Margarito, John John Molina, Leija, vargas, and the list goes on... 3 division champ who always took on the best.

if your going to talk about fighters who lost everytime they stepped up... how about oscar?

gatti is a C class fighter as mayweather himself stated

is pacquiaos name on floyds resume? didnt think so.

floyd was that scared of pacquiao that he thought he was cheating! funny how he didnt have a problem fighting ricky hatton. funny how he didnt say to ricky hatton, take these tests or im not fighting.

fact is floyd was that paranoid about this guy moving up the weights and scoring knockouts that he didnt fancy risking his 0.

at the very start of it, floyd wasnt prepared to fight by the same rules he fought everybody else. i wonder why?!!!! and then when pacquiao agreed to take these tests floyd miraculously decided he needs 100% of the PPV money!

not the first time by the way, didnt fancy a cotto fight when cotto was the number 1 welterweight in the world, he chose "retirement" instead. didnt fancy a fight with margarito when he was the number 1 welterweight in the world either. but hey he fought ortiz lets have a wank! number 2 welterweight and WBC champ, yay! idiot.

                  LOL!!!!!!

If he thought he was cheating manny made it no better by turning down a damn drug test..he turned it down for floyd, turned it down for osley and turned it down for jmm...something aint right..and floyd name aint on manny resume either when you get done......oh and is that stadium ready yet?

and funny how easy the cotto fight was made soon as he left bob arum......

and even arum said the margo fight could have been made..arum bloacked it...read rinse and repeat

Arum stated that Mayweather would have fought Margarito for the 8 million, but he wanted a guaranteed 10 million to fight Miguel Cotto and Ricky Hatton. Arum only guaranteed him 7 million. And for those who don’t know Cotto and Hatton were at the Mayweather-Gatti fight and Cotto was ranked number 5 by the ring at the time (Proof: Listen to the commentary Jim Lampley at the end of round 5) . Cotto had just moved up to the 140 pound weight class and he didn’t make an offer to fight Mayweather after the Gatti fight.

Arum said Mayweather also asked for $20 million to fight De La Hoya, a fight Arum said he wasn’t interested in participating in. “That’s not in the cards,” Arum said. “He wants $20 million for the De La Hoya fight? It’s not there. Sometimes, my man, you gotta know when to hold ‘em and when to fold ‘em. We’ll talk about things down the road.” Notice this part Arum was talking.

now go sit in the corner and read a book or something

So that leaves Corrales , Castillo and Hernandez(?) as his most legit wins, the last one in 2002.
Granted Cotto wasnt the pre margo cotto but he still looked good and was an elite fighter, are you going to give floyd credit for being past prime and beating a younger fighter at a higher weight no you arnt.

De la Hoya was legit win

Mosley was might of been old but he was still at the top of the WW division at the time.

What's mayweather best weight 130lbs? exactly stop being an idiot, Hatton Judah and Marquez are legit at WW in this era.
