no Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore, New York New York or King Of Comedy? very 90's/00's-centric list. dunno how one puts Last Temptation above those three, either.

Raging Bull is shockingly overrated (more on that). the Cape Fear remake, his take on the studio-system thriller, is actually rather brilliant (a great alternate to John Thompson's splendid original) and underrated. nice to see that in your 10.

      edit:

      oh, and mine...

      1. Mean Streets
      2. New York New York
      3. King Of Comedy
      4. Taxi Driver
      5. Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore
      6. Cape Fear
      7. After Hours
      8. Casino
      9. The Departed
      10. Who's That Knocking At My Door

the latter half of those selections are subjective (Cape, After Hours, The Departed, Casino, Who's That Knocking) - the popularity of Goodfellas and Raging Bull means they should probably be on the list in place of a couple of those, but i just don't dig them that much. 1-5 demand to be on any top 10 list of Scorsese's greatest, though, whatever the running order, as hugely important building blocks of his directorial greatness.

Unfortunately, so many great films couldn't make the cut.

I wasn't thay into Alice or the King of Comedy, though they were good films. I enjoyed Shutter Island and The Age of Innocence as well, just not my Top 10.

I mean I like everything Scorsese does, for the most part. My favorite film maker. Last Temptation of Christ is really underrated in my opinion.
