              rough translation:

COLOGNE - The ARD will not renew at the end of the expiring contract with Sauerland boxing stable, at least in its current form. This gave "Das Erste" announced on Monday and led "financially narrowing perspectives in sports rights budget" as a reason to.

For the professional boxing in Germany, the separation is a serious blow. The Sauerland fighters include the top German boxer Arthur Abraham and Marco Huck Brähmer.

"We look back on a very good long-term cooperation with the Sauerland boxing stable, for which I would like to thank. Excellent ratings, as well as exciting and popular Boxsportler fair fights have marked the time together. But with increasingly constrained financial environment, we have to restrict ourselves in various sporting fields, unfortunately, "said program director Volker Herre.

Sauerland events are some of my favorite in boxing. Hopefully they find a new TV partner soon.
