Amongst big guys (6'3" +) who was the best in fighter?

Talking HW's here. Amongst big HW, who was the best in-fighter. Ali had no inside game really. Lewis had a good uppercut but that was it. Bowe had some slick skills inside, shortened his shots et al.

But I cant put a winner on the list.

bowe was amazing inside. Foreman in his old age sometimes worked inside a bit. In general not many do.

I think Buster mathis SR worked inside well if i recall.

lewis had a very good jab and a great right hand
nice chin
good boxing skills
mentally tough

he's one of the best h2h HW in my eyes

that being said, ali was 6'3" ish depending on who is holding the tape and is the best ever h2h HW in my eyes

he wasnt joe frazier, but he had some tricks inside. he knew how to hold, cover up, take steam off of shots, take a break/breather, etc. if he got away with it he'd pull a guy's head down toward the ground. if you've ever fought a tall guy you know what i am talking about. that sh#t sucks

i thought it was just best fighter over 6'3"


i would have to revisit the topic. riddick bowe is a nice one. he could do it all, really, but he was a very useful fighter inside

I think the improved Manny Steward trained Lewis was leagues ahead of any version of Riddick Bowe... Or the Klitschko's...

Though 6ft2 I believe, Ike Ibaebuchi was very good inside.

Buster Douglas on his day was also pretty damn good on the inside for a big man.

Sure. I went with 6'3 as that for me is "big". But its not set in stone.
