A bit of a lose/lose situation for him. I just want to know why it took since August for him to make a decision. Too many rounds of golf maybe?

He's been stalling because he knows doing this will be political suicide for him.

I guess when he promised they would come home, he just meant from iraq war...but then he'd send them somewhere else..

He never really brought troops home from Iraq. It was a small reduction and they just replaced them w/ private contractors like Blackwater and the like.

The Iraq occupation is permanent. Anyone who tells you otherwise is a liar.

my friend will be one of these troops...I also live with a marine who's been to afghan and he said it's the scariest deployment he has ever been on..
