I know there's a legion of people on here that will pounce on Martinez in a heartbeat if he is anything less than incredible against Barker. I'll Sergio this one gimme, outside of struggling mightily I don't care about how he wins. He should win handily and stop this guy, but I wouldn't hold it too much against him.

Dude, he's fighting 2011's version of Pavlik vs Gary Locket. He better put on a show.

That's how I described it to someone in my office. And I actually thought that fight was fun, but I was a big Pavlik fan at the time and in attendance.

If Martinz' loses a round to fighter like Darren Barker especially at this stage then he should consider his performance a failure.

Meh, I don't consider Martinez the undisputed p4p #3 fighter with an argument for the top spot everyone else does. Barker has his shot, Martinez may not take him seriously for a round or two, and he could lose a round there.

I don't expect it, but I wouldn't hold it against him, like I said.

I rather see Martinez lose a few rounds than see wipe out personally. I hope Barker proves he's better than what we though.
