Lucas is, his following is growing everyday
GGG is on the rise, a big KO vs Macklin will add more
but it's still hard to forget GGG looking bad vs shot Ouma

Kovalev and Golovkin both have something to prove. Both are getting their chances now. Matthysse deserves all the attention he's gotten since the Peterson demolition.

People love devastating punchers, and these three are not only that, but show an impressive level of skill in the process.

Well yeah 'cause Martinez is the champion. That's kind of how boxing works.

A lot of people feel Matthysse is the best at 140 and he doesn't even have a title.

In boxing you have to beat the man to be the man. Murray beat Martinez in his backyard in the eyes of most.

I don't think many people really see Murray as 'the man' at 160 though, at best that crown is 'disputed' at the moment.

I think these are three of the most exciting fighters around right now for sure, and obviously it's the 'wrecking machine' aura each of them is building up that sets them apart. It's great for the fans to have guys like that in the sport.

All 3 have come from foreign obscurity and seek the best the moment they arrive in the US. Add that they're power punchers and skilled and you can see why people like them.

Kovalev beat campillo who easily beat Murat, cloud and shumenov and was easily the best LHW behind Dawson and Hopkins and should have held the WBA and IBF titles when he got destroyed.

If Campillo was actually the champion, he wouldn't have even fought Kovalev. He came in jet-lagged and poorly trained. The guy wasn't even there to win.
