What I don't get if they are targeting haymon.
Haymon gets paid a percent of his clients earnings, so if they land a career high 1.4 million payday from a promoter (roc nation) then haymon earns more money.. If they were gonna hurt haymon, they would sign away some clients or potential clients

Quillen's decision to vacate could have been a duck because they didn't think he would beat korobov, so you vacate and then fight Jacobs for his belt in a Brooklyn showdown.. This decision to vacate may have happened regardless of who won the purse bid.. GBP could have won it and quillen still would have vacated..

You'd think that but doesn't look like Haymon wants his top fighters on HBO who Roc Nation are rumored to have a strong association with.

No one is saying they are a huge force in boxing lol. What people are saying is they do mean business, they have a ton of money and just winning a purse bid showed that. Obviously they are only in their infancy as far as boxing goes. Time will tell wether or not they become a "force".

Nope, the simple answer is money. Jay-Z has a lots of money and if you want to be a serious force in any sport that's a good start. Simple as that.

Jay Z the fat lip ugly mofo has too many connections high up in the game, a small fish like Haymon is like shyt off a shoe for him, his ties with HBO show that he's in it to make more money obviously and become the leading force in boxing be it, promotions or advisory.

The question was why do people say this~. Why do most people say this here, because they see Haymon as this monolith and Roc Nation is getting seen as a white knight without any knowledge if they are that or not. If that is not a sign of desperation I don't know what is.

Not why can Roc Nation succeed.

If you are going to correct then understand what is getting talked about.
