  • How Important Are Boxing Streams & Free Fight Videos?

Ok, open discussion about a sensitive subject.

First of all, Live Fight Streams.

This is a video of the fight streamed live over the internet during the event. How important are these to you as a boxing fan, and what impact do you think they have on boxing as a business?

    Secondly, Fight Videos

These are recorded fights found on popular video sites and can either be unedited video of the full fight or a condensed version of the fight in a short video. How important are they to you as a fan and how do they impact boxing as a business?

Very important, how else will we be able to see this week's Arreola-Mitchell? Box Nation and Sky don't have it, even on delay.

      Boxing streams

As for business, the more exposure the more interest is generated. That is why Box Nation put on free to view items, such as May'-Saul, All Access.

Important because, boxing is probably the most global sport. Fights from all over aren't necessarily going to be covered in all nations.

Well streams let me see boxing from other countries as it happens, I would have missed Cleverly-Kovalev as an example recently.
Also helps some people watch overpriced ppvs, which does not hurt anything because the people who want to support boxing know how to stream and buy it anyway, but sometimes people can't afford a 70 dollar ppv so a freeby isn't bad the way I think of it.

And recorded fights help watch fights you missed or to research a fighter which is always nice and fun. It helps boxers and the sport get exposure, especially the highlights videos for people with short attention spans, you can show your friends that to catch them up on a fight if they are too lazy or impatient to watch whole fights.
