yeah they do. if they go ahead anyway, tell them you do not consent to a search and make sure someone hears you say that. you have to be firm, you cant be "i dont know, i dont think so" cause they will say that you didnt mind. than phone a lawyer right away... if the cops arrest you and want to talk to you, dont say ****.... ask for a lawyer right away.

mulitiple times, ive had over nighters, had my **** searched countless times... if you try what ive been saying it could help, it doesnt hurt to try.

They can search your car if:
-they have a warrant.
-they smell or see something in your car that gives them probable cause, i.e. they smell weed or see a bag of a green substance in the backseat in lain sight.
-a drug dog is alerting them to the car.

No, taking law classes is better than your exerience, why? Because if a cop searches your car unlawfully, you will get off scotch free when you take it to a judge. There are circumstances where a cop can search your car without consent or warrant.
