  • Rate Broners defensive skills

Obviously on offence there just isn't enough of it.

But on defence does broner impress you.

He tries to use the shoulder roll but still gets caught. But he shakes his head a lot.

His offense actually isn't bad at all. But his defense is so poor that he spends a lot of time recovering and gathering himself and can't mount a counter attack.

      Second only to Mayweather.

The way he just keeps shaking his head, you know nothing fazes him.

Even if he gets knocked down and uses the ropes to pull himself up, once he walks to the ref and does the head shake you know he's got it all under control.

Makes Floyd and Sweet Pea look like bums.

If you ignore his terrible footwork, being flat footed, lack of head movement, being easy to hit, then he's not bad at all!!!

Average. Tries to copy floyd with the shoulder roll and fails. If he actually used footwork along with headmovement and threw punches more he might be a champ.

I like broner but he needs to train more and take boxing more seriously . Copying floyd isnt going to help him anymore

His defense is only okay. If he would let his hands go more and not be so concerned with his terrible shoulder roll, he'd be a helluva fighter

He'd be better if he did more of a catch and shoot style instead of his poor shoulder rolls. Catch-and-shoot will bring out his naturally fast hands as opposed to attempting to be a defensive wizard.

Broner can become the Curtis Stevens of Welterweight.
