"Police in Maryland are responding to a hostage situation at a Burger King fastfood restaurant, AP reports. A SWAT team and negotiators arrived at the scene after a man holding a gun ran into the restaurant.
A seven-year-old girl is among those being held captive by the armed suspect, according to Baltimore police.

"About four" people are being held hostage by the man, police spokesman T.J. Smith said at a news conference.

One adult hostage has reportedly been safely released, but three others including the child remain inside the Burger King, a reporter for WJZ-TV in Baltimore tweeted. The gunman is a suspect wanted on a rape charge, Smith said, adding that he fled from police before barricading himself in the restaurant at 1735 Washington Blvd.

The suspect refused to pull over after he had been spotted by officers, according to the police spokesman. The armed man's vehicle also collided with another vehicle, and the man then fled on foot into Burger King."

Why would he prevent people from eating burger king

in my hood burger king is the lowest fast food joint on the totem pole. especially if you go there around 11pm or so when it's not busy. they leave all their food on the heater so it's all old and gross around that time. the lettice is already dark and soggy too. and if you get a hot dog from there the bread is all hard and crusty, it's so disgusting.

chicken fries are the only decent thign on their menu and only if you order at the right time.
