  • If it's so easy to cherrypick a career and make millions, why doesnt everyone do it?

Floyd gets so much hate on here for his resume, he ducked this guy, scared of him, who has he fought?, he cherrypicked him etc. etc. etc.

But the question I ask, if he has cherrypicked all these 'easy' fights why is nobody else undefeated like he is and for so long? why can nobody else follow Floyds blueprint and make hundreds of millions whilst fighting making a career 'bums'?

It's simple, because he is simply far too good...for his own good. You all say he ducked prime Margarito, Tszyu, Cotto, you honestly think these guys would have beat Floyd? He's been in there with numerous world champions and future HOF's, yet hardly one has laid a glove on him.

A comparison to this is with Messi, he gets hate for scoring tap-ins and only finishing off the hard work by his teammates, but again, if its that easy why isn't David Villa scoring 90 goals a season? why does Alexis not score 2 or 3 every game?

As I say, Floyd isn't fighting bums, he isn't picking 'easy' fights, he is just too talented for his own good.

Floyd's different. Guys can go undefeated fighting stars and won't make money like him. Floyd sold himself perfectly and does what ever he wants now.

And u gotta win the actual fight. U can't be like do u think he or who ever can beat Floyd??? And just because u think they can't, Floyd doesn't gave to fight him. That's dumb. I'm a fan of boxing and I wanna see boxing fights. Saying a guy is too good and doesn't have to fight a guy does nothing for me.

You are right, we will never know what the outcome would have been. As Floyd says himself anything can happen in boxing, it only takes one punch.

But all these posters making out Floyd is scared of these guys, the opponents like Baldomir, De La Hoya, Marquez he fought instead are given the 'cherrypick' tag. Whilst all these common opponents are beating each other and going hell for leather, when they face Floyd he makes them look like amatuers, that's not Floyds fault but he gets hate for it, which is not only unjustified, but totally disrespectful to these guys who are world champions in their own right.

No one is debating that he is talented; they just don't believe he is very brave. He says "health first" to avoid the best, but is willing to harm other fighters' health by giving them an asskicking. You would be lying if you said that wasn't a tad cowardly.

Joe Frazier could have retired undefeated if he had avoided Ali and Foreman, but he had a pair of balls and got in the ring with them, and people love him all the more for it. Frazier wouldn't be held in nearly as high regard if he had avoided Ali and Foreman.

Floyd can be thought of as the opposite of Evander Holyfield. Holyfield didn't care about the possibility of having a loss or 2 on his record, he just wanted to fight the best, even if they outweighed him.

Chavez Jr was undefeated (45-0) and making some money in the process. People complained that he was not fighting the likes of Sergio Martinez.

Whether it be pressure or he had enough of cherry picking or was brought up very carefully or lack of opportunities beforehand .... he finally did and lost.

Floyd had the same opportunity to fight Martinez, Williams, Manny, Margarito .... but fled the scene ..... but he could because he was still making money.

Floyd did it because he beat Oscar and gained much more recognition. Without that fight, who knows .....

Floyd admits that he fights for money and health comes first .... The problem is that Floyd fans don't believe Floyd!

Do not forget that Floyd got the torch passed to him by Oscar De La Hoya. He did not do this $h!t himself. But unlike Oscar, he isn't passing the torch. He's sitting on it cherrypicking.
