  • Khan should go train with John David Jackson

He did a remarkable job with Algieri in just one training camp. Virgil Hunter, despite how much I admire and respect Andre Ward, just doesn't seem able to reproduce that success with any other fighters.

I thought Amir looked terrible last Friday.

JDJ has done a good job with Kovalev as well so he could be a trainer on the rise.

No trainer can help Khan it's his chin, The best Khan did was when Ariza gave him the same Protein drink he gave Floyd for the Pacquaio fight

JDJ pre-fight was saying how Khan still doesn't throw the jab right...he is somewhat correct.

Chris was coming over that low lead hand all night long....

If it wasn't just Khan making mistakes and Virgil has to make adjustments then Khan should be somewhat worried.

Khan simply doesn't listen and doesn't stick with a game plan. It will take a long time to get Khan to change his ways. As Virgil said, lots of repetition and drills are required to change Khan. Freddie Roach said the same thing about Khan not listening. Khan is in love with his speed, and doesn't realize that at the elite level speed alone is not enough. JDJ will have fits with Khan, because he doesn't listen.

It's not that he did an overhaul but that he let Chris fight that way. He said he was always told how to fight. The person that should go to him is ruslan

They had a gameplan for Algieri,

However Chris flipped the script on him and fought out of his comfort zone.

That was the best performance of Chris Algieris career thus far.

Hunter and Khan talked about it already, I also believe Khan went in there underestimating Chris and thinking about Floyd.

You go into the ring and overlook a opponent, u will pay the price and Khan nearly did.

They will need to watch the videos back and look at some of the mistakes Khan made

Perhaps they were expecting Algieri to fight a different style. But even then the fact that it proved so difficult for Khan to make adjustments has to be worrisome to both him and Hunter.

Khans not a adjustment kind of boxer, never will be

They went in there expecting Algieri to fight on the backfoot, run around, but he came out like Petterson instead

Algieri was willing to take everything Khan had to offer, just to get his shots off.

Khan fought nervous and very negative.

Khan is a type of boxer who needs a gameplan set in stone, he cant make big adjustments, he either looks sensational or he looks like a heap of ****.

There are many variables to why Khan struggled, Algieri's gameplan, his psychical attributes as well as Khan overlooking him and having wet dreams about Floyd

Luckily for Khan not every boxer is willing to put their body on the line to get a shot off and many dont have the size, reach and athletic prowess of Algieri.

Khan still needs to go back to the drawing board and work in dealing with pressure fighters

It's honestly not Hunter's fault. Khan and Angulo aren't great fits for him. Berto's had some decent success with Hunter. His style is hooking up and he's not getting hit as much.

Angulo's a useless brawler and Khan just clinches more than ever now. They're not fully taking in what Hunter is trying to aim for with them.
