According to Slob Arum De la Hoya is literally giving away tickets to fill the MGM.

Canelo's drawing power is competing with another young Mexican hopeful with some hype in Chavez Jr, the Chavez name that Jr. carries, the fact that Chavez Sr. will be there, bigger promotion, dislike for each other to create hype, 24/7 programming, more important fight vs a top P4P fighter, and Chavez vs the legit Middleweight Champion of the World.

While team Chavez Jr will use this as a indication of Chavez Jr. being "better", I'd say Chavez Jr. and his team needs to realize he was born with the advantage already.

I'd say that against those odds, Canelo's 13k is damned good.

Good post. I'll be watching the PPV with people over and recording the Showtime bout as well.

              LOL.....all given away.....

Shame that all the glory hunters will hop on the Canelo wagon when Chavez, the real draw, loses

So Schaefer said 15k and now DLH says 13k. Which one is it? Next thing you know we are gonna hear 10k.

And they've both said that they are giving away tix to lopez/ginger like crazy. Radio, casinos, restaurants, raffles etc. All I know is that I'm flying in on thursday night for the weekend and will be enjoying the scenerery andstreaming the fight(chavez/martinez) cause I'm in a wedding.......
