  • Obama "all options open for Iraq" - War 3.0?

Does "all options" mean a return of Coalition troops into Iraq?

    Drones?

    Airstrikes?

I cannot imagine the US will allow ISIS to develop such a huge zone of operation from which they can threaten the US and its allies. It was the #1 question on Question Time wherein the British government minister stated "only America has the capacity to act".

I suspect the US knows this. What is the next move?

As far as a significant boots on the ground presence, I don't see it happening again. At least I truly hope not.

I could see drones and airstrikes coming into play.

        I think drones are inevitable.

        Special Forces?

          No boots on ground.

          Here come the drones.

You can probably make a safe bet that there are already SF operators on the ground as we are typing at each other.

US Special Forces get put through a hell of a lot.

They were in Iraq in April in 03.

No doubt they are there, probably CIA to be honest.

Do you also reckon they are set to engage ISIS in combat or just to guide the Iraqis with tactics?

I would think that they will be the "eyes on the ground" in preparation of drone and airstrikes, mostly.

If they get good intel on high level targets...

                    They will handle that themselves.
