Fighting Berto is ok if it's the last fight in your career and you really have nothing left to accomplish in terms of legacy or making your fortune.

What does that have to do with GGG, though?

I hope the fight happens. Bob Jewrum's Mexican turd would be smeared all over the canvas.

Bob Arum is boasting his new champion like he's the new face of boxing.

Ramirez is good and has the skill set to be a star but Arum needs to pump the breaks. Abraham is an over hill Super Middleweight who couldn't beat the elite when he had a chance to become the best in his division.

GGG is in his prime and making good to very good Middleweights look average. He wants to unify the division with Canelo to get that big money and to get that mainstream exposure. Ramirez doesn't provide that.

Also it could kind of be a similar situation that Joshua and Martin where in except in reverse where the young gun gets outclassed and smashed by a superior fighter.

Arum needs to build Ramirez into a star before calling out one of the pound for pound best. Let Ramirez beat some of the other big guns in the division before calling out the elite.

Ramirez beats the **** out of Lil G. Lil G would much rather Cotto or any other guy who has never fought at 160. Ie Ward, Canelo, etc.

I couldn't watch the whole Ramirez vs Abraham fight, but from what I saw Ramirez seems pretty ordinary.

Beware the curse of Uncle Bob's hypetrain... remember when he announced that Lucas Matthysse was the 'new Manny Pacquiao"??

It pretty much killed his career.

You're okay Ramirez fighting a smaller guy but not okay with GGG fighting a smaller guy.

You know the double standards around here...Cotto holds the lineal middle weight title but he's too small to fight at it. Canelo clocks in at light heavyweight he's too small..Ward can't squeeze down to 168 and Golovkin is somehow scared to, Klitschko ate a hamburger golovkin ducked him, Lara wants to hype his fight Vanes Golovkin ducked him, Saunders has them fly to his country and offer him a fight Golovkin ducked him. The hate around here is pathetic bruh..downright pathetic these days.
