Fighters looking to prove themselves never go down in weight, they always move up. Look at the facts and they all point to one thing, when a fighter isn't any good at the fight game anymore he either moves down or stays at his present weight. But if a fighter wants to prove himself the record shows he always move up. Now this boy g & the casual haters will accept him moving down because they hate the guy that's running the show at that weight class. Ask any of the ATG's and they would tell you, they would never go down in weight as a means of proving they are better because they know the other guy would be at a weight disadvantage and that taints the fight if they were to win. I see the mindset of some boxers in today’s sport as one of a coward when it comes to match making. They rather take the easy way out to make a name for themselves instead of working hard & earning it. Guys like Hopkins, Mayweather, Cotto, Ward, Salido and many more went the long road & it shows. These hyped up guys like Cindanelo , g something, Khan and others want the limelight but don’t want to work for it….. They rather fight a smaller guy or take a easy fight then say they deserve a shot at big money based off that fight alone…. Hahahahahahaha, I say no & go back and fight better comp before trying to face the main man…..

Miguel Cotto, a guy who started his career off at 140. A smaller man who travelled the divisions like Floyd, that's why Cotto won't fight Golovkin despite him being 'the man' at 160.

He fought Alvarez at a catch weight, he knew he was beatable and it was a calculated risk. Unless Mayweather's using a potato to calculate the risk against Golovkin, he knows it's a step too far.
Yeah I know, but history books wont say "this 2x, unified, lineal champ only fights blown up, past prime opponents at 154. Everybody else gets a catchweight or a duck"

Floyd could fight GGG, but Floyd always ducks a challenge. Floyd fans say you cant duck someone who is 2 divisions above you? Well you can challenge people 2divisions above you. JMM challenged Floyd didn't he? RJJ fought Ruiz didn't he? Because they like a challenge and don't duck it.

Floyd does. Under normal circumstances GGG wouldn't want to move down in weight, but the name FLoyd just so happens to be one division lower, and it if takes moving down one weight to get the fight GGG is willing to do that.

Yh lets have him drop down to fight Floyd or Manny, two guys who barely even weigh in at the welterweight limit on fight night! Ridiculous.
Great post- add to it that posters are so desperate to see Floyd lose.

Notice there is a group of posters who have been saying for 2-3 years Floyd sucks, hasn't beaten anyone, and that Ward is the real #1 p4p fighter. Now they argue GGG should fight Floyd instead of Ward.

            Interesting.

First things first. GGG will dispatach of Floyd first, the lesser challenge. And then fight Ward, that's the order you achieve things in boxing. One step at a time.
Once GGG dispatches of Ward, who knows.

If Floyd is as low on the totem poll as you have claimed for the past few years-why is the thought of a GGG fight even appealing to you? Don't you want GGG to fight the best or dare to be great?

LarryXXX is shook at the idea of Floyd facing Golovkin!

Stop making excuses, just like Floyd does. Floyd and his fans are one of the same people.
GGG wants Floyd as he is the biggest name in boxing. People would love to see him and FLoyd fight. People say GGG hasn't fought anyone yet, and the big names in boxing try avoiding him at the same time, so its a catch 22 situation for GGG.
Floyd would be the biggest name GGG would have fought and the best at 154. ONe step at a time. ONce GGG beats Floyd he can then try beat the real big fish.
How simple can it get? Don't come up with another excuse to not see a great fight. Stop saying people want to see Floyd get beat, because that's obvious. But people want to see a great fight more, and Floyd being tested will be a great fight, to see someone bring the best out of Floyd.
I want FLoyd to beat someone really, really good as well as he keeps talking about TBE.

I'm asking you about you-not about other posters. You can only speak for yourself. How can you call it a great fight given everything you've said about Floyd? that's the part that doesn't make sense.

You seem to be changing your view of Floyd solely for the purposes of this fight, which is hypocritical and kind of weird. You have always said Manny and Ward are better than Floyd-you have also said repeatedly that Manny is the bigger star.

Given your history, why don't you prefer one of them fighting GGG? besides, Floyd has already beaten several fighters ranked higher p4p than GGG, so he's already beaten someone very, very good.
