    I can keep going....

    in every sport.

What do those athletes all have in common?

THEY DONT CHOOSE THEIR OPPONENTS. THEY CANT CHERRY PICK.

Floyd loves to bash Pacquiao for being arum's slave and he loves to brag about him being his own boss, so we cant really blame Pacquiao since he's just a slave and a talk to my promoter kind of guy as oppose to floyd who is his own boss so floyd cant really blame anybody for calling him a ducker since he's his own boss.

    Amirite?

I mean have you ever heard of an athlete trying to tell another athlete what drug test to take and if he doesnt take HIS drug test he wont play?

    NEVER.

See the thing with floyd, you can actually PIN POINT his ducking and cherry picking.

The most obvious one is the fake retirement where after beating a career 140 pounder in hatton at 147 just one fight in and struggling vs collazo. The welterweight division at that time was the deepest and hottest in all of boxing with prime margarito, prime paul williams, younger shane, prime miguel cotto, and a prime pacquiao on its way soon after.

Floyd instead of capitalizing on his 2nd biggest win since corrales "RETIRED" from boxing instead of solidifying his place in history with a division full of fighters ready in waiting.

When you talk resume with floyd it will come down to 3 things:

    1. his best win is diego corrales. someone who isnt a legit hall of famer and probably wont make it. if he does its because of his tragic death same way as gatti.

    2. he has never faced a legit hall of famer in their prime.

    3. the fake retirment when 147 was the deepest and hottest in all of boxing.

"Show me a undefeated fighter and ill show you somebody who didnt really fight anybody."

Its a true and time tested quote.
You are a Floyd Mayweather or Pacquiao fan aren't you?

There are other KNOWN names to retire undefeated, Floyd is not the only.

    1. Joe Calzaghe
    2. Rocky Marciano
    3. Ricardo López

So are all of those fighters cherry pickers as well?

You also can't compare combat sports to team sports such as MLB, NFL or NBA.

For one, those sports are a team effort, if one player or mutiple players are not on their game, you lose!

Boxing is a one on one sport, so you only got you.

For two, NBA for example plays 81+ games a year, you damn near bet that if you play over a 1000 games in your career you are guaranteed to lose atlest one, if not over a 100.

        1. Joe Calzaghe hid out at 168 while one of the greatest light heavyweights was above him and one of the greatest middles was below him. He only decided to play with them when they were in their 40s and proceded to get dropped by both senior citizens.

        2. Marciano every single notable win were all against past prime fighters and he was a mafia controlled fighter. should have lost to walcott.

        3. Ricardo Lopez. What's his best win? Why didnt he move up from his skeletor division even though he had the height, frame, talent, athleticism and skill to do so. He had Carbajal, Galaxy and Chiquita Gonzalez waiting for him. Instead he chose to fight skinny rawandan refugees for the rest of his career.

        Legit ATGs have losses.

It means they were battle tested.

It means they took on challenges.

It means their heart and resolve where challenged by proving himself better after a loss.

Well if your like Floyd when you become p4p no1 and only fight once every 18months or take career breaks and retirements, its blatantly obvious you didn't fight everyone you could.

As long as the expected people and situation are reasonable I don't see why you can't have it happen. The problem with this saying is that the longer you go undefeated the more people want to see you lose (In this hypothetical it would be a boxer who has undoubtedly faced all of the best competition without question). However I don't think there will ever be a boxer who beats everyone to the point that the public expects him to fight no one and so the demands become unreasonable.

It is true that there can be no perfection. But there absolutely can be an era in which a person dominates thoroughly. Just because you retire undefeated doesn't mean you're the best of all time, just the best of a period of time which is definitely possible.

The people who claim undefeated fighters are undefeated because the fought no one would not be saying that if the fighter they support was undefeated

We would if they took retirments, layoffs or fighting only every 18 months at best when not retired.
