  • Does what it takes to win. Works for him since some fans just get off on hitching on a winner. Holding, running, cowering, sucker-punching, elbowing, btching...very manlike.

It's not how he became big either, he rose to prominence on the back of fighting exciting opponents like Gatti, De La Hoya and Hatton and talking ish on 24/7.
WRONNG!!! Floyd was always promoted as a defensive specialist, and at the time he was so good, that it was rare what he was doing. Every defensive fighter is not the same, some are boring. What Floyd did to ghost was kind of boring. What he did to JMM was athletically amazing. Two completely different Mayweather's. When he fought Ghost, people booed. When he fought JMM everyone was going "Oooh and Ahhh" The whole fight, people where just amazed by the speed, reflexes, agility, calmness. Its like Watching Bruce Lee. Against Ghost he was kind of slow, and only landed because of feints, and timing. The Mayweather who fought JMM does not fight like Bhop and Rigo. Bhop and Rigo are not that similar btw. Rigo ran like a typical cuban, and how Floyd ran from Ghost. Bhop is a spoiler and fights dirty. Floyd did allot of clinching against Ghost, because he was not able to fight on the inside. But point Im making is Rigo, Bhop, The Floyd who fought Ghost, is kind of boring. The Floyd who fought JMM is kind of like a tactically sound version of Roy Jones. The speed, the way he leaps accross the ring to land a hook. Go back and watch that fight, and there are NO boos, nor is the audience mute. Their making noise everytime he does something flashy, or shows off his reflexes and magical defense.

          • Yeah yeah anyone who gets in the ring is a man blah blah blah....

They chose boxing as a career so STFU with all that nonsense.

Floyd created a style that is so boring that judges don't score most rounds against him unless he gets dropped - plus he gets away with all of that elbowing to measure opponents and holding if they are too busy for him. I bet he'd stink it up if he was fighting James Kirkland.

              • Its tougher to play offense...think about it... how many fighters go into a shell when their opponet is on offense and how many times have you said, " all he had to do was let his hands go and he would have won."

What Floyd does today is skillful when he can get away with staying in the pocket and play defense; this is when his defense is applauded. When he's boxing (using his feet to get away) or dodges away from punchs is what other boxers do in the ring.

Floyd has a size advantage and he has a "great" experiance advantage now a days.

Huh?...I thought I told you to venture into highway traffic without a car?
