Do other countries have their own superhero we dont know about?

So I was wondering I know comic books and their characters are spread throughout the globe but most superhero's such as Superman, Spiderman, Batman, the Hulk ect. all originated in the United States. Do other countries have their own superhero origins that we dont see as main stream or are the superhero's we grew up watching and grew to love the only ones? I know that there are some out there like the green hornet and a few others that were i guess from china or something but are there more that we dont know about and are huge in other countries?
