Pirog- got injured and retired because of it. No complaints there, twas an unfortunate occurrence.
Martinez- his team avoided him, took a big money fight with Chavez and was injured, wound up retiring.
Chavez Jr-- big money fight then could no longer find diuretics strong enough to get him down to 160.
Quillin- ducked him like the plague, now is at 168.
Jacobs- ducked him initially, this fight might happen.
Sturm- ducked him shamelessly
BJS-- won't even fight Rosado, much less Jacobs or GGG.
Canelo-- already stated.
Now there's the Ward situation. Its really hard to get a straight story as to what happened, both sides tell it differently. Whatever the deal is, neither fighter were obligated to fight one another and the circumstances were screwy anyway. Ward was injured, tied up in lawsuits and when he came back for good he couldn't make 168 anymore. Had Ward not lost all that time, I think the fight would've happened.
I think he's only sticking around at 160 because there's a big money fight with Canelo, WHICH COULD HAVE ALREADY HAPPENED IF CANELO DIDN'T MOVE BACK DOWN IN WEIGHT.
I've been yelling for him to move up in weight for the past couple of years. His opposition hasn't been impressive but then again, its not entirely his fault. His management has also been crappy. As a fan, my patience with him is wearing thin.
