Israel hasn't threatened anyone with destroying them. Israel is an independent state that is surrounded by countries that want to destroy it and have already tried.

Israel is the only working Democracy int he region.

Please don't compare Israel to Iran. If Iran wanted to be a part of the international community it would be much different, instead they chose to go rogue like N Korea and it's not going to be good in the long run.

Iran wants the bomb, plain and simple.

Why are you as an American so for socialism, anti American and stand up for countries like Iran, regimes like the one's in Venezuela etc.

Israel wasn't mentioned by any of the world press, funny how people in here like to blame them when normally car bombs fit Iran itself's style more.

I'm sure they are completely blameless .....

If you were to keep up with worldly events and occurrences, you would know why Israel gets mentioned whenever the US is making moves against Middle-Eastern countries. These countries do not have the capacity to threaten the US in any way militarily, but they are in a position to threaten Israel.

how is iran any worse of a country than israel (the only difference is one is a US ally and the other is not)? assassinating scientists isn't exactly a good way in avoiding a war with iran now is it? seems like it would only have an opposite effect in the long run.

At the end of the day, the facts are Iran, the people who run that country have publicly stated that ISRAEL HAS NO RIGHT TO EXIST.

my political beliefs have nothing to do with this debate, as it's an ECONOMICAL system I'm in favor of nothing more nothing less (Albert Einstein was a socialist and a great deal of other people you know, has no difference if I'm a democrat, a socialist or whatever the hell). Further I don't stand up for Iran, however I am pointing out the hypocrisy with Israel.

Because this is the point I want to make. I live in Miami now, and I see this young white hipsters with the Che Guevara t shirts and they are constantly talking about how the U.S is imperialistic and they defend Hugo Chavez and Iran's right to attain a nuclear weapon and all that other nice cuddly stuff.

Yet they have never lived in any of these places and the ones who have (for example the people I work for that are Venezuelan who were forced out of their land, arrested and kicked out of the country because they didn't want to relinquish the company they built from the ground up to the government for no reason other than they wanted it) always talk about how terrible it is to live there. How they can't advance, aren't free and always have someone looking over their shoulder.

I think a lot of these systems work on paper but they just aren't realistic because humans fukin suck. No matter what system, humans find a way to corrupt it for their own benefit.

I have lived in 3rd world countries and if I learned one thing, I learned how happy I am to live in the U.S.

You are basically describing every single tea party dolt and republican, and anybody who supports glen beck and rush limbaugh. Always complaining about how bad america is when they havent lived a single second in any other country.

I too have spent time in multiple third world countries and am very lucky to be in america. There's no other place to be.
