The bottom line is that is inmoral to set limits of weight, in this case 150 to Earn a belt at the 154 weight class, Just like it was not right to "win" a welterweight belt with limits of 145.

Smaller champions have fought for bigger belts before, and they didn't cry so much or use their money power to change the rules.
If you want the Jr Middleweight belt, then fight at the weight class with the limits of that class weight; come in at 150, 151 or whatever you want, just don't impose your will because "They are too big". Then instead of looking for a paper belt, fight like a Man and face the music if you want to be a 7 or 8 weight class champion. Is the price to Pay.

I'm not flying with any of the catchweight BS. Pacquiao is wrong on this one and it will stain his legacy as one of the best Pilipino boxer in history.
He was great, but He could not face the champions with the same rules that He insist to follow when it comes to drug testing.

Selective rule following is basically, Not following the rules and limits of the game.
    Can't have it both ways.

the advantage is that it cuts off a good amount of weight that margarito could potentially carry with him on fight night

There's no such thing as a 154lb title. Its called a MW title, and that's falls anywhere between 148lbs - 154lbs.
