People have worshipped the sun a god for millions of years. Christianity is a astrological story.

I am an agnostic, I can absolutely not rule out a creator when as a species we haven't even encountered another alien race, How can we be ignorant enough to claim we know everything?

We haven't even left this small rock, other than going to our own satellite.

Lol. Why does it anger you? I think most people are drawn in some way to a spiritual belief i.e. that there is more than the physical universe.
I think its infinitely more attractive than following any dogmatic religious doctrine.

@Bringer: You are mistaken. I've already educated you on this subject and you continue with your ignorance.

An agnostic is someone who isn't sure in the existence of god.
It is impossible to state that there is no god therefore your claim that you are an atheist is a religious belief, just like the people who claim god does exist.

It's really not hard to understand.
        I agree with the bold.

Most people ive known who would say they are agnostic dont really think about God too much. They are either indifferent, or unsure. They would say "Maybe there is a God....i dont really know".

But id say im an atheist in as far as i dont believe in a god. Id never say there is no god.

Right. So you're technically an agnostic atheist along with 90% of other atheists.

            That is highly contradictory.

An absolute agnostic is a person who, after reviewing the physical evidence and philosophical arguments for and against the existence of gods comes to the conclusion that it is equally probable that deities do exist as it is that they do not.

Even a person who has never heard of the existence of any religion cannot be categorized in this position because in order to arrive at it one must first be aware of the concept of god and then consider it.

Therefore, in practical reality, an absolute agnostic most likely doesn't exist.

People who claim to be an out-and-out agnostic are either exceedingly ignorant of the English language or they simply claim to be agnostic so as not to offend either the religious or the non-religious, and I have nothing but contempt for them.

                Still, there are worse groups.

Like those trendy assh*les who claim to be "spiritual, not religious" while taking a break from sniffing their own farts.

i'd say the unsure / indifferent are not attracted to any of the world's religions, they can't see themselves following the religious dogma, not necessarily that they want to deny the possibility of a creator God.

i have a question for you, Tom, do scientologists believe in a "god" or not, or
is it all just human potential and mind control?

i think what the bringer is referring to about the spiritual not religious in the skinny jeans and nerd glasses and the bed head is the pride with which they say it, not the statement itself, i think bringer wants to kick their scrawny lil white asses because they think they're spiritual giants and clearly they are not

Thereby making the 'god' a part of science and a rationable explainable being which does not require any element of faith to believe in it.
I have no idea if it's "more scientific" or not, I simply don't know if god exists.

Do we need a new a classification for people who acknowledge the possibility that when they are inside the sky turns red? or who think there is a small chance they are the subject of a 'Truman Show' type program? (dont lie we've all been there)
Although it is hard to quantify people's beliefs, I'd say that most who acknowledge the possibilities you mentioned would say there is, at most, a 2% chance of them being true. A small minority might say the possibility is much greater. Agnostic are likely to be spread more evenly along the spectrum. Many agnostics, for instance, will believe there's a 50-50 chance of god existing.

Absolutely certain there is NO God(s) as described by all the Religion's known to men. Agnostic on the fact that we don't know what's out there in the Universe, therefore holding out.
