That said, there is a difference with a guy who has just moved up to a new weight recently compared to a guy who has been at 147lbs for 6+ years, like Floyd has. Using your example of Marquez, it was different hitting and receiving a punch from a 130-135lbs fighter compared to getting hit/receiving for the first time at WW.
Another example was Hatton. Hatton was able to do his thing much better against a 140 fighter than a 147 fighter. That is, it was easier for Hatton to use his physical style/presence at 140. At 147, it was a different story.Last edited by ADP02; 03-10-2013, 07:31 PM.

Canelo is so thirsty for a damn paycheck. If you think about it, Guerrero is too but he is more deserving. Skipped over 140 where the lions are and went to 147 and started calling out Floyd after beating bums for belts. Guerrero deserves it though because of the situation with his wife and those medical bills but Canelo needs to get over it and fighter true 154ers and solidify his place there by cleaning up that division. He wins his belt from a bum and all of a sudden he is acting like he is in the top 5 p4p.

Canelo doesnt care about the money, he already said he'd take whatever money Floyd offers, he just wants the shot at Mayweather because he knows he can beat him. if Canelo beats Floyd he becomes the face of boxing.
