My former student who now pilots one of those italian jets visited me 3 weeks ago, he said corruption is almost irreversible in the military. He'd be a Lt colonel next year and is not interested in flying lanes anymore, he said he let young lieutenants do the flying now.

A good friend of mine now works as an oil expert for Department of Energy, I wonder what his opinion on this.
