Do BS posters overrate vintage athlete?

I observe that posters here have so much high regards for elite but retired athletes.

In fantasy matchups I always see threads like Whitaker beating Money, Dream Team beats 2012 olympic teams, Duran beats Pacman, etc.

Are they overrated out of mere respect for what they did to the sport or today's athlete are just too inferior for the older ones?

Dwellers and clueless people think if it's black and white, it's the greatest thing to ever exist. For example, "Hank" Armstrong isn't what he is made out to be. There is no doubt in my mind someone like Ricky Hatton or Antonio Margarito would of turned him to pulp.

In some cases they are overrated as hell. But in some cases I think it's obvious that they would beat the current crop. Well, in my eyes at least.

I don't think Pea would beat Mayweather, for example.
